Race Day Update – De Deli Counter at Hexham
We’re back on the track today with De Deli Counter, who takes his place in the 1:35 at Hexham for Mark Walford, with Tom Midgley in the saddle.
This is a horse we’ve always held in good regard, and today marks an important stepping stone in his development. It will be his final run before receiving an official handicap mark, after which he’ll enjoy a short break to continue maturing and strengthening up. He’s still learning with each outing, and we fully expect him to come forward for the experience again today.
The main aim is for him to settle, travel well, and show us that he’s progressing in the right direction. A midfield finish or a run that shows a bit more know-how would be a very pleasing step for him at this stage. What matters most is that he continues to build confidence and racecraft, as we’ve always believed there’s more to come from him with time.
We’re really looking forward to seeing him on the track this afternoon, and to watching his journey unfold over the coming months.
Best of luck to all connections and everyone attending today.
Let’s have a good day at Hexham!
